22nd Annual River Clean Up Announced

The Upper Guadalupe River Authority (UGRA) is pleased to announce that the 22nd annual River Clean Up will be Saturday, July 25, 2026 starting at 8 AM. The headquarters for the River Clean Up will be at Flat Rock Park in Kerrville and volunteers will spread out to clean up locations throughout the Guadalupe River watershed in Kerr County, including dry creek beds, bridges, drainage ditches and roadways. The first 300 registered volunteers will receive an official 22nd annual River Clean Up t-shirt. We will guarantee your requested t-shirt size if you register before June 30, 2026. Additional t-shirts will be given away on a first come basis the morning of the Clean Up.

To those who have participated in previous River Clean Ups, this year will look a little different. After cleaning up around the county, volunteers will still meet at Flat Rock Park to drop off trash, enjoy refreshments and visit the ecological fair. The fair will be expanded to include community resources, art activities, and information about restoration efforts.

Online registration deadline is Friday, July 17th. Follow the link below to register. Groups and individuals are invited to participate in the River Clean Up.  If you choose to register by July 17th and you are local, you have the option to pick up your supplies the Monday-Thursday before the event (July 20-July 23) and then go directly to your assigned cleanup location the morning of the River Clean Up.
