21st Annual River Clean Up
This year's River Clean Up was a success! There were 373 volunteers who collected 4,825 lbs. of common household trash, scrap metal, and tires. There was a big bump in the road this year when the Guadalupe River flooded the week leading up to the original date of the event, causing it to be rescheduled. However, it all ended up working out because September 7th was an absolutely beautiful day to have the River Clean Up. All things considered, the event went very well.
In addition to all the amazing volunteers that showed up and put in the work, we had a great group of sponsors and community partners that really helped make this year’s event successful and we can’t thank them enough.
While this year’s River Clean Up is now behind us, that doesn’t mean people shouldn’t make an effort year round to keep our river clean and beautiful. If you or your group want to do a cleanup, let us know and we will be happy to support your efforts with cleanup supplies.
